About the Job

As an Outlet Retail Trader, you will use strong analytical skills and commercial acumen to drive in-season trading, reflecting the latest business performance in the trading plan while supporting traders in your area. You will identify key business issues, analyze opportunities and risks, and recommend actions to grow store revenue. You will serve as the key product point of contact for stores on all in-season activities, collaborating closely with Merchandise Planning, Merchandising, Inventory Management, DTC, and Analytics to optimize in-season stock management, and you will be accountable for in-season commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantitative analysis and insights to optimize inventory deployment – monetize new opportunities and identify risks and formulate recommendations
  • Support stock replenishment in cooperation with replenishment analyst
  • Provide analysis on in-season profitability to achieve or exceed seasonal performance at Geo / Category level
  • Drive promotional and markdown activities; identify products to go on sale and define level of discount
  • Ensure & set up promotional pricing
  • Develop accurate inventory flow forecasts that support in season business strategies
  • Highlight Store to store transfer opportunities
  • Identify opportunities in store to clean Excess inventory
  • Follow up on customer service activities, inbound/outbound with DC, initial allocation, in SAP and in retail management system (EPOS systems)
  • Collaborate with Retail Merchandising to reassess in season performance, leverage key learnings into in season trading actions and reflect into next season assortment buy
  • Monitor product availability in European warehouses to identify product opportunities in order to drive local commercial initiatives
  • Collaborate with the retail planner to review store grading/max capacities
  • Regularly visit retail stores to gather market intelligence and reflect key take outs into in season trading actions
  • Collaborate with Analytics team to develop and test improved reporting

About You

  • Bachelor's degree ideally in Retail Management, Business management or Finance
  • 3+ years of work experience in Retail business (preferably in planning or allocation)
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret meaningful themes from quantitative data
  • Strong understanding of Retail revenue drivers
  • Ability to articulate key performance indicators, and how they are used in key systems/tools.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and SAP
  • Ability to problem solve independently & through strong partnerships with regional business partners
  • Ability to analyze and assess impact of decisions on department and cross-functional business partners.
  • Proactively identify business issues and develop creative solutions.
  • Self-motivated, actively takes initiative to learn and drive the business
  • Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad, diverse group of business partners, mainly the cross-functional team
  • English fluent, spoken and written, German or Italian are an asset

This is a hybrid position based in our Brussels Office. You will be expected in office 3 days per week. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.
